My Aunt Suzy is talking about moving to Jacksonville in the near future.  She’s wanted to move further south for a long time, and she recently visited an old college friend of hers that lives in Jacksonville.  Well, she fell in love with Jacksonville and is looking into moving there.  She is retired now, and has a pretty good pension so she doesn’t have to work anymore.

So we have been looking for Realtors in Jacksonville using a new website called clicksmart.com. It’s a really handy website that helps you find certified experts in a wide variety of fields, using their search engine.  It was easy finding Jacksonville Realtors though their website and we’re confident that these realtors will treat Aunt Suzy right.

I’ve been hearing and reading a lot about the energy crisis, and the global warming crisis.  I just want to say that I’m doing my part!  I don’t even OWN a car (which is a good thing because I couldn’t afford to put gas in it!) because I live near the public transportation that I need to get back and forth to work and to shopping.  I have recently bought some of the CFL bulbs to replace my regular light bulbs when they burn out.  I turn down the heat/turn up the air conditioning as much as I can bear it, and my landlord put in a programmable thermostat so that the heat/cool will change to a lower energy consumption setting when I’m away at work.

So, I’m doing MY part; I hope you are doing YOUR!

My brother Tim is starting a new business in London.  He’s pursuing his lifelong dream, opening up a new restaurant of his very own.  He’s worked long and hard for many other restaurants in various positions, from bus boy to waiter to cook to manager, and now he’s finally saved up enough money to strike out on his own.  He’s been looking around for the perfect place to locate his business, and is even considering buying some existing restaurants and just doing them over.  As part of the process, naturally he’s looking to buy some business insurance for his new restaurant that he is starting up in London.

The autonetinsurance.co.uk website offers a wide variety of insurances, from home insurance to commercial insurance to motor vehicle insurance.  They offer discounts of up to 70% off for new policies, and up to 35% discounts for their on-line customers!

I was looking at their website earlier today and was amazed at how many different insurance policies there really are!  I had no idea that there was so many kinds!  It certainly looks like they are prepared to offer insurance for almost any need whatsoever!  And they offer you the choice of getting a price quote online, or by calling their toll free number.

My friends have all been pressuring me to get a pet.  I don’t WANT a pet.  Don’t get me wrong; I LOVE animals, but I don’t want the responsibility of taking care of another living creature right now!  First of all, my landlord forbids all pets except fish, and I really don’t want fish.  I’ve had fish before and changing the aquarium water is a chore that I simply hated when I had fish.  And the stupid fish that I had kept jumping out of the tank!  I’d find those things six feet away on the floor, all dried up!  Even though the tank had a lid on it, they would find the little tiny holes that the air hoses go through and escape!

And it is a pain in the neck making sure the water is the perfect PH and the perfect temperature, and to be careful to not overfeed them.

And, when you have pets, you can’t just pick up and leave to go on vacation whenever you want to go on vacation - you have to find someone to care for them.  For now I want to be footloose and fancy free and not worry about anyone or anything but ME!

Have you ever seen a woman who is losing her hair?  I don’t mean the women who have just had babies and are losing their hair because of that natural shedding process that goes on after childbirth, I”m talking about those women who are actually really and truly balding?  I see some women with that condition from time to time when I’m running errands.  I don’t know much about what causes women to go bald, if it a genetic thing or not, but I have to say that I really feel badly for women like that.

I understand that there are products like nioxin that helps people with thinning hair to create a more volumnous look to their hair.  There are a lot of different nioxin systems for making hair appear fuller, based on what type of hair you have; fine or coarse.  I was reading about the programs and they sound like they would be good products to try to make hair look fuller while protecting it (and the scalp) from harsh environmental exposure.

I learned about this product when I visited the store.hello-gorgeous.net website.  This website specializes in bargain prices for name brand cosmetic products for skin, nails, and hair.  They offer flat rate shipping of only $4.95 for the continental United States, and totally free shipping for orders over $39.00.

I was reading an article on the Reuters website earlier today; a friend sent me the link and told me to read it. The article was talking about how solar energy will be cost competitive with fossil fuels by the year 2013. Well, if that is true, I think that the US government should just stop even talking about drilling for oil off the coast of Florida and in Alaska. I understand that even getting that oil drilled and refined will take at least five to ten years to reach the gas pumps, so what’s the point of spoiling the environment when we will have perfectly good alternative fuels ready by then? Now I understand that solar energy will not be able to run everything that needs gasoline, but there ARE other sources of fuel out there that could be used to replace fossil fuels that will be ready to be on the market by then and will be cost completive too.

If you’ve been reading my blog, and my “about” page, you’d know that I live in a tiny apartment.  That means that space is always an issue for me.  I am a natural pack rat, and it is hard for me to keep my apartment from becoming too cluttered.  I try to invent storage space as creatively as I can in my place without making it look like the whole apartment is just a big storage bay!  I need the place to look nice and comfortable and uncluttered, which is hard to do.  Although I am a packrat, I am also a neat freak, which I guess in some cases is a contradiction in itself!  And no, for you zodiac minded people out there, I am NOT a Gemini!

For years I have wanted to buy one of the storage beds that I see from time to time at a friend’s house, or in a furniture showroom.  I think that would help me with some of my storage issues.  Although I have tried those “under the bed” storage boxes you can buy, none of them actually FIT under my bed!  One of my friends told me yesterday that she saw a great selection of storage beds on the time4sleep.co.uk website.  I’ve been looking at the website, and found that they have a huge selection of all kinds of beds and mattresses for their customers to choose from.  I wish that they shipped to my location!

With the economy as bad as it is, I have cut way back on luxuries like eating out.  But I have been invited to join some friends (at their expense) at the local Red Lobster for dinner tonight.  They are celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary and want me to join them in a small dinner party.  So, I was MORE THAN happy to say YES YES YES to the invitation!  I haven’t eaten at Red Lobster for about seven years, I really LIKE it a lot, there just isn’t one that is really close by where I live, and my budget is tight, so I don’t go often.  Our friends are picking me up and taking me there, so I am thrilled with the arrangement!

I LOVE lobster AND shrimp, I plan to order a meal that has BOTH!

The best reason that I can think of to have breast augmentation surgery is that if you are naturally so slender that you simply cannot find clothes that fit you right.  Such is my own personal case - I have a hard time finding clothes that fit me.  There have been many times that I’ve gone shopping for a new blouse or dress and ended up not buying it because even though it fits me perfectly in the hips and shoulders, the bust portion of the garment is tremendously too large.

MYA has a large number of clinics throughout the UK where they offer a wide variety of cosmetic surgery services, including breast augmentation surgeries (boob jobs.)  Their staff consists of some of the most experienced surgeons in the world.  I was reading their website to see what was involved in the breast augmentation surgery and learned that they cut a small slit in the crease of the body under the breasts and then they insert an implant that increases the breast size to what the patient and surgeon have agreed to.  There is only one night spent in the hospital, but the patient does need to take a week off of work to recover.

Recently my sister’s hubby died unexpectedly leaving her with huge debts and responsibilities and no way to pay them.  He had been the bread winner of the family, but had no death benefits other than the little bit that Social Security pays.  They have two children, and now she is in trouble.  She has to look for a job in this really bad job market.  It is not going to be easy for her.

I had been after them for years to get cheap term life insurance on both of them because I had a bad feeling that this would happen and that she would be in deep trouble when it did.  I have some life insurance policies on my life to take care of my final expenses, and if and when I get married and have children I will make sure that the life insurance is increased to take care of my family after I’m gone.  I don’t want to burden anyone with taking care of my debts personally after I’m gone.

If I owned a house, I make sure that the mortgage would have insurance on it as well, both life and disability.  Life throws everyone a curve ball eventually and there is no escaping death.  That is indisputable.  Buying mortgage insurance buys peace of mind to you, and to your family.  I’ve told my sister that now is the time that she should buy mortgage insurance from a good company like NAA life, to protect her kids in the event of her disability or death.
